Debbie, the designer for Nyx Enchantments jewelry has been designing jewelry for more than 10 years. Her jewelry studio is in Colorado where she draws her inspiration from the materials of her creations. She also enjoys photography and some of her photos can be seen on her Flickr page.
Debbie's jewelry making journey began one day when while visiting a nice little bead store in Durango, Colorado, named Beads and Beyond. This store was so delightful, very much like the town of Durango . While looking around the shop, Debbie was so intrigued by all the colors, shapes and styles of the the many beads before her. Having purchased jewelry made from inexpensive materials. many times before, she realized that she could create items more to her tastes. |
The desire to create jewelry that was unique and of higher quality than the store bought, mass produced items lead to the learning of this craft. It was then that Debbie set out to learn all she could about the art of jewelry making. Reading and jewelry making classes from a local bead store is how she got her start, and it was soon after this that she jumped right in and let the creative process begin. At first, she began by creating a few pieces for herself, and it was soon after this, she found herself surrounded by all the colorful, wonderful beads, and sterling silver findings. As Debbie continues to learn, studying design techniques and honing her skills, she has discovered he biggest gratification is to see her creations worn by someone who gets great pleasure from wearing her designs.
Debbie loves the challenge of creating custom jewelry, so if you see something within her items and find you would like an alteration, such as a different color, ear wire style, metal, length, or if you have something entirely else in mind, or if you see an item for which you'd like a matching piece made, please contact her here.
Nyx Enchantments jewelry is made and packaged in a smoke-free and pet free environment.
